"We learn best in moments of enjoyment"
- Dr. Ralph C. Smedley
Founder, Toastmasters

我们是菲律宾第一双语演讲俱乐部讲国语和英文.

what?

Emperor Toastmasters Club has attracted members from the community of scholars who went to Beijing and other cities in China, from online language learning communities like italki, and those who stopped learning Mandarin after high school. The club also maintains the English program found in other clubs. Essentially we are two clubs in one.

why?

Toastmasters will give you the skills and confidence you need to effectively express yourself in any situation. Whether you are a professional, student, stay-at-home parent or in-between jobs. Toastmasters is the most efficient, enjoyable and affordable way of gaining great communication skills. By learning to effectively formulate and express your ideas, you open an entirely new world of possibilities. You w¡ll be more persuasive and confident when giving presentations, and you will improve your one-on-one dealings with others.

how?At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. A typical Toastmasters club is made up of 20 to 30 people who meet twice a month for about two to three hours. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation.

For non-native or second language Mandarin speakers, we provide dictionaries and CBT or computer-based training materials on CDs. Learn at your own pace then apply what you have learned during club meetings.

where?

We meet thrice a month on Wednesday/Friday evenings at the Causeway Seafood Restaurant in Banawe, Sta. Mesa Heights, Quezon City, Metro Manila. There is always an open invitation for you to see for yourself. So come and join the party!

when? Next regular club meeting is on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 7:30 PM. The next Mandarin session is on April 30, 2010, at 7:30PM.

Visitors from other TM clubs are also welcome to attend. Please notify us in advance so that we can assign you a role.

该俱乐部下次会议将于2010年03月03日晚上七时三十分
